Yes, I snitched this picture off another blogger's site. Yes, I know I shouldn't have done that. Yes, I know what plagiarism means. But I had to. Yasmin the Storyteller called him a Tsunami Survivor. Not Victim. A Survivor who lived to tell how he had outlived his family and friends. I don't know if I could ever do that.

Tsunami survivors have lost very little material possessions, because they had very few to begin with, prior to the disaster. A hurricane in Florida on the other hand would wipe billions of dollars in Wall Street in a single day.
They already have so little, do they have to lose more? Losing material is one, but your whole family, your past, your entire future has just be swept away - what left of hope, happiness or dreams does one have after that? How do you re-build life when you are crushed almost beyond redemption?
